River Valley Power and Sport in Red Wing, MN is hiring a Seasonal Lot Technician to support our high-volume spring run up, inventory staging, and customer delivery season. This position runs from mid-April through mid-July and plays a critical role in preparing, staging, transporting, and organizing powersports and marine inventory during our busiest time of year.

This is a seasonal position designed to support peak business demand during spring and early summer.

Compensation
$20.00 – $23.00 per hour. Starting wage based on experience and qualifications

Schedule
Monday – Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Hours may vary based on business needs
Some required Saturdays, 8:45 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.

Position Overview
The Seasonal Lot Technician supports the Service, Parts, and Sales departments by ensuring all powersports and marine units are properly received, staged, detailed, transported, and delivery-ready. This role requires forklift operation, trailering, equipment movement, and maintaining a clean, professional lot and facility environment.

This is a hands-on, physically active role ideal for someone comfortable working outdoors in a fast-paced dealership environment.

Primary Responsibilities

• Complete preparation of new and used powersports and marine equipment for customer purchase, showroom display, and delivery
  • Assist detailing department with cleaning of boats using pressure washers, vacuums, and specialty cleaners
  • Clean interior and exterior of equipment to retail-ready standards
  • Unload new inventory from trucks, inspect for damage, and complete receiving process accurately
  • Move equipment between lot, staging areas, service bays, and showroom to maximize technician efficiency
  • Operate forklift, F-150 truck, flatbed truck, motorcycles, and various hand and power tools
  • Properly trailer and secure transport loads
  • Coordinate with store, parts, and service managers on lot organization, showroom staging, and inventory placement
  • Maintain lot cleanliness and overall facility organization
  • Assist with light building maintenance tasks as needed
  • Deliver product limits as required
  • Support other departments or special projects assigned by management

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license required
  • Ability to operate a laptop and navigate company business systems and SharePoint as needed
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 75 lbs
  • Comfortable walking, bending, and standing for extended periods
  • Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions (heat, cold, rain, etc.)
  • Forklift and trailer experience strongly preferred
  • Prior powersports, marine, or dealership lot experience preferred
