River Valley Powersport & Marine of Rochester is hiring a Seasonal Marine & Powersports Lot Technician / Detailer to support our peak riding and boating season. This role is primarily focused on lot operations, equipment movement, and inventory organization, with detailing and cleanup support as a secondary responsibility.

This is a hands-on, physical position for someone who takes pride in organization, presentation, and keeping boats and powersports equipment looking ready for sale and delivery. You’ll work around boats, ATVs, side-by-sides, and other marine and powersports products every day.

About the Role

The primary responsibility of this position is managing and maintaining the sales and service lots. You’ll assist with moving, staging, parking, and organizing marine and powersports inventory to support sales, service, and customer deliveries.

Detailing and cleanup duties are secondary, helping ensure equipment is clean, presentable, and showroom-ready during peak season. This role is ideal for someone who likes physical work, follows direction well, and thrives in a fast-paced dealership environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized detailing and lot environment


• Work closely with management to meet quality and scheduling expectations


• Assist with moving, parking, and staging equipment on sales and service lots


• Operate forklifts, trucks, tractors, and trailers (training provided if needed)


• Properly trailer, secure, and transport equipment between lot, staging, and service areas


• Assist with showroom and lot presentation alongside store leadership


• Complete full preparation of new and used marine and powersports equipment for customer purchase and delivery


• Wash, wax, buff, and detail boats and powersports units to a pristine, showroom-quality level


• Clean interior and exterior surfaces using buffers, pressure washers, steamers, vacuums, hoses, and specialty cleaners


• Support other departments and special projects as needed during peak season

Schedule & Seasonal Details

• Seasonal position (typically spring through summer, with possible extension based on business needs)


• Monday–Friday: 40–45 hours per week


• Saturdays as needed


• Hours may vary based on workload, weather, and inventory volume

Compensation

• Up to $25 per hour, based on experience and skill set
