Seasonal Receiving Clerk - Full-time

Description

Mackin Educational Resources, a trusted leader in the education industry, has immediate openings for seasonal help this Spring/Summer in our Receiving department. Our employees enjoy the comfort of working in a climate controlled facility. The right candidates for the position will be extremely proactive and adaptable with the ability and willingness to assist wherever needed. 

Responsibilities

• Examine shipment contents and compare with records, such as manifests, invoices, or orders, to verify accuracy
• Deliver or route materials to departments using pallet jacks or roll carts
• Maintain safe working conditions and keep work areas clean
• May be required to operate pallet jack and related stockroom machinery
• Accurately and efficiently scan and check books electronically into our in-house software program
• May be reassigned to alternate tasks, responsibilities, and/or departments based on workflow needs

Requirements

• Must be able to multitask and prioritize work in a fast-paced environment
• Great attention to detail and ability to follow written and oral directions in order to make sure books are being processed correctly
• Able to handle standing, sitting, or walking during an entire shift
• Must have the physical strength and stamina to lift and move goods repeatedly throughout shift
• Able to repetitively move hands, fingers and arms in coordinated fashion to grasp and manipulate books in a precise manner
• Ability to lift and carry 30-50 pounds
• Must have strong data entry and clerical skills
• Ability to cross train into other areas as needed

Shifts (Seasonal)

• Full-Time: Monday through Friday, 8-hour shifts starting at 8:00 AM or 9:00 AM

Wages

• $17.00 per hour
