Seasonal Research Assistant (REHIRES)

Summary/Objective:

Reporting to the Director of Media Services, the Seasonal Research Assistant will be expected to fulfill research/footage requests from all departments at NFL Network in a timely manner while working within the NFL Films technical environment.  Experience with non-linear editing software required. 

Responsibilities:

• Research all media according to SOP setup by Media Services using the NFL Films libraries


• Develop knowledge of all resources available for research purposes


• Deliver video assets to NFL Network within set deadlines for production purposes


• Ensure all deliveries lie within company policy


• Experience necessary with Premiere Pro


• Develop knowledge of NFL file-based delivery systems such as Signiant Media Exchange/Shuttle


• Prioritize work from clients accordingly to relevance of deadlines


• Developed understanding of video transcode & monitoring software


• Thorough knowledge of NFL & its history required

Required Education and Experience:

• College Degree in Media Production Preferred


• 1-3 years of media production experience


• Non-linear editing & research experience

• Knowledge of Basic Archive Research & Media Management


• Understanding of deadlines set by programming schedules


• Adobe Premier & accelerated file transfer software knowledge a plus.

• No Direct Reports

Physical Demands:

• Pulling video tapes, at times a large amount, to prepare for tape ingest

Travel:

• No travel is required

Expected Hours of Work:

40 hour work weeks required with some over time during NFL season due to large amount of requested work from NFLN.  Strict shifts of 12pm-8pm ET to support NFLN on west coast.
