Seasonal Right-of-Way Worker (Public Works)

Work as a crew member maintaining City rights-of-way. Operating string trimmer, mower, and hand tools.

Starting Pay: $19.00 per hour

Schedule: Seasonal, 40 hours per week

Posting Close Date: Open until filled

Full-time employment opportunities may be available for seasonal employees throughout the season.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Operate equipment in City right-of-way.
• Mowing, weeding, tree trimming, and litter pick up.
• Use a variety of hand tools including shovels and rakes.
• Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions, work effectively with others, and work long hours in stressful weather.
• Ability to react to change productively and perform other tasks as assigned.
• Willingness to learn new skills and accept assignments with a positive attitude.
• Must be at least 16 years of age.

Education and/or Experience

• Proper use of mowers, string trimmers and hand tools.

Language Skills

• English (speak, read and write).
