Seasonal Volunteer Coordinator

Rate:  $15.50 hourly

 General Purpose of Position

The Volunteer Coordinator is responsible for coordinating all volunteer efforts throughout the city.

Major Duties and Responsibilities

• The volunteer coordinator will work with various churches, mission groups, organizations and individuals to assist our homeowners with maintenance projects for their home. 
• Some of the projects consist of major vegetation clean-up, scrapping and painting of interior and exterior of homes, removal of dilapidated pools and sheds, removal and replacement of fencing and many other miscellaneous repairs and general maintenance. 
• Receives the public and answers questions; responds to inquiries from employees, citizens and others and refers, when necessary, to appropriate persons.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Microsoft Excel and excellent organizational skills are needed. 
• Performs other duties as directed

Education, Experience, Licenses and Certifications

• Applicant must be organized, an independent worker and be able to communicate and lead large groups of people with various home maintenance projects. 
• Physical labor is a requirement of the position.  Using a personal computer, sitting for long periods of time, standing, walking, seeing up close, working outdoors, loading & unloading of small – medium equipment, move up to 100 lbs.
• Minimum age for this position is 21
• The person in this position must have a valid driver’s license
