Senior Accountant (Contract to Hire)

As a Senior Accountant, you will be integral in managing the day-to-day accounting and financial operations of the organization. This position is critical for safeguarding assets and supporting national expansion efforts. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and maintain accurate and complete general ledgers.
• Process incoming and outgoing payments efficiently.
• Handle biweekly payroll processing.
• Reconcile accounts to accurately reflect monthly activity.
• Manage expense reimbursements in accordance with approval processes.
• Collaborate with relevant departments on pledge payments, grant applications, payments, and financial reporting.
• Coordinate with the Employment Agency team to manage daily financial tasks.
• Partner with departments to develop an annual budget.
• Respond to auditor requests for information.
• Assist in gathering data and reporting information to external stakeholders.

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting.
• 5-7+ years of experience in finance or accounting roles.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks software.
• Strong financial and accounting expertise, including knowledge of financial principles, accounting standards, and nonprofit financial management.
• Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail.
