Position Overview:
This role serves as a senior project management leader responsible for establishing governance standards, overseeing portfolio performance, and driving the successful delivery of multiple initiatives. The position combines hands-on project execution with strategic oversight, including executive reporting and mentorship of project managers to ensure alignment, accountability, and on-time delivery.

Duties:

Develop and implement project governance policies, standards, and best practices
Administer and oversee the project portfolio, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities
Lead requirements gathering efforts for multiple backlogged and upcoming projects
Manage and deliver multiple projects simultaneously, particularly within IT-focused environments
Monitor project performance, timelines, risks, and dependencies to ensure successful outcomes
Provide guidance, mentorship, and support to a team of project managers
Serve as a senior escalation point to help resolve project issues and challenges
Prepare and deliver status reports, updates, and presentations to CIO and executive leadership
Ensure consistent application of project management methodologies and governance frameworks
Collaborate with stakeholders to maintain transparency, alignment, and effective communication across initiatives

Required Skills:

5+ years of experience demonstrating a solid understanding of IT project management, particularly supporting IT-related projects
