Job requirements
- We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Project Manager to lead a key Finance Modernization Initiative aimed at transforming legacy systems and processes. This role requires someone with a strong background in application development or data migration, capable of driving complex, multi-team projects with technical depth and strategic oversight.
- The Project Manager will be responsible for developing and managing detailed project plans, coordinating efforts across cross-functional teams, tracking progress, identifying risks, and delivering results that align with business goals.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the planning and execution of modernization initiatives across multiple workstreams within the Finance department.
- Develop and manage end-to-end project plans, timelines, milestones, and resource allocation across development or migration tracks.
- Facilitate regular project meetings, gather status updates, and ensure alignment among various teams and stakeholders.
- Monitor project progress and communicate updates, challenges, and outcomes to leadership and business stakeholders.
- Collaborate with product owners, developers, architects, and business analysts to ensure successful delivery of technical solutions.
- Proactively identify risks, issues, and dependencies; develop mitigation plans to address them.
- Maintain detailed project documentation including status reports, dashboards, risk logs, and release plans.
- Support release management and change control processes.
- Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 6+ years of experience as a Project Manager in finance or a related field.
- Strong experience in application development and/or data migration projects.
- Proficient in Jira, Confluence, ServiceNow, and advanced Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Project, etc.).
- Proven ability to create and manage detailed project plans and timelines.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to technical detail.
- Preferred Skills:
- PMP certification (preferred).
- Experience in finance or mortgage-related projects.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and practices.
- Experience leading modernization or digital transformation initiatives.
- Strong leadership and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
