Job Description - Services and Programs Subject Matter Expert

Position: Services and Programs SME Consultant
Location: Arizona Federal detention facility
Duration: September 2025 (specific dates TBD)
Security Clearance: NACI background check required

Position Summary
We seek a Services and Programs Subject Matter Expert to evaluate detainee services and programming at a federal detention facility housing federal detainees.

Key Responsibilities

Assess detainee classification systems
Evaluate religious program availability and access
Review work program operations and management
Examine recreation program adequacy
Assess access to court and legal materials
Review telephone access procedures
Evaluate visitation policies and procedures
Assess detainee mail systems and grievance programs

Required Qualifications

Minimum 10 years experience in correctional programs and services
Background in detention facility program management
Knowledge of constitutional rights and legal requirements
Understanding of classification systems and procedures
Experience with program evaluation and assessment
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
US citizenship required for security clearance

Travel Requirements
Travel to facility location required. Government reimburses actual travel costs.
