Shared Living Providers are people who provide supports to individuals from the SLP's own home. As an SLP, you will be responsible for providing residential support to an individual(s) in your home. Responsibilities include documentation of services, medication administration, supervision, and helping to teach our individuals learn new skills and become more independent.
SLPs are considered sub contractors. Contractors are responsible for making their own schedule and for ensuring that their work is compliant with Cornerstones policy's and all state and federal regulations. Cornerstones will not direct you how to do this, but will provide advice and assistance.
SLPs are paid based on the level of care provided and their experience level with the individual they care for and with agency policy. Cornerstones offers monthly bonuses for the timely completion of documentation. The SLP position is highly taxed advantaged. Contractors that provide medicaid waiver services in their own homes do not have to report their earnings as income to the IRS.
Please be aware that all persons that will be living in your home are required by DHHS regulation to submit to background checks.
