Detailed Ideal Candidate Profile:

We're seeking a highly experienced Software Development Engineer with 5-7 years of focused experience in low-level development. The ideal candidate will be an expert in Linux kernel and device driver development (C, C++), capable of hitting the ground running to support and maintain core system components. You'll need deep expertise in operating system internals and low-level debugging to troubleshoot complex hardware compatibility and performance issues. This role requires someone who is independent, proactive, and can effectively manage priorities in a fast-paced environment while ensuring system stability and performance.

Disqualifiers:

• Availability less than 18 months (candidates must have full 18 months availability)
• Not able to work onsite 3-4 days a week in Hillsboro, OR.
• Lack of strong C/C++ background for kernel/driver work.

Job Responsibilities

• Develop, enhance, and maintain coreLinux kernel componentsto improve performance, support new hardware, and ensure system reliability.
• Design, implement, and debug device drivers for various hardware, guaranteeing seamless integration and functionality.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex kernel and driver issues, including performance bottlenecks and hardware compatibility problems.
• Support production systems by monitoring kernel health, responding to incidents, and implementing necessary fixes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams using proficiency in version control and open-source workflows.
