Position Details: Early Childhood Special Education Teacher

• Title: Special Education Teacher


• Location: Olympia Fields, IL


• Duration: 08/22/25 to 06/12/26


• Onsite/Virtual: Onsite


• Position Type: Contract


• Working Hours: 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, from Monday to Friday


• Student Age Group: Kindergarten/Elementary school


• Case Load: 5-7 students

Responsibilities: Early Childhood Special Education Teacher

• Prepare student individual education programs in consultation with parents and IEP team members


• Design instruction, both individual programs and small group, which parallels the general education curriculum


• Act as a case manager of IEP implementation with general education staff


• Monitor student progress and participation in review and revision of IEP, as appropriate


• Assist other professional staff in identifying learning/behavior disabilities, development of remediation plans, and evaluation of student progress


• Maintain appropriate student data and other records and submit reports as required


• Articulate curriculum between and among student levels


• Manage classroom organization


• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications: Early Childhood Special Education Teacher

• Experience working with special education students


• Experience modifying/adapting general education curriculum


• Experience providing education services in varied environments


•  Illinois Professional Educator License with LBS1 or ECE SPED.
