Position Details: Special Education Teacher

• Title: Special Education Teacher (Middle school SPED Teacher or Elementary school SPED teacher, we have1 opening each)


• Location: Forest Lake, MN


• Duration: 09/02/2025 to 06/04/2026 (expected dates)


• Onsite/Virtual: Onsite


• Position Type: Contract


• Working Hours: 35 to 37.5 hours weekly, from Monday to Friday


• Student Age Group: Elementary school


• Student Age Group: Middle school


• Case Load: 8-10 in elementary school


• Case Load: 10-12 in middle school

Responsibilities: Special Education Teacher

• Ensure compliance with special education regulations


• Develop and implement individualized education programs


• Work with students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Autism and Behavioral Support (ABS), or Emotional Behavioral Disorder (EBD)


• Collaborate with educators and parents to support student learning

Qualifications: Special Education Teacher

• Minnesota Department of Education Special Education license required


• Experince with IEPs.


• Licensure in Developmental Cognitive Disabilities (DCD) or Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) preferred for Elemenatry 


• Licensure in Emotional Behavioral Disorder (EBD) preferred for Middle school
