Job Description - Speech Therapist

Adelphi is seeking Speech Therapists to provide Speech Therapy Services in a school district in Montgomery County, Virginia. The Speech Therapist will provide appropriate speech and language therapy services to students through evaluations, observations, and consultations.

Requirements:

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.

• Current Virginia Board of Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology license.

• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.

• Experience in a school setting is preferred.

Responsibilities:

• Assess referred students for special education through appropriate testing and diagnostic practice.

• Interpret testing results and implications to school staff, parents, and students as needed.

• Write speech and language therapy reports and complete eligibility reports.

• Confer with teachers and parents through conducting classroom observations and provide feedback.

• Participate in student support meetings and assist in collaborative problem-solving.

• Contribute to the development of Individualized Education Plans (IEP).

• Maintain positive, professional relationships with students, parents, staff, and the public.

• Other duties as assigned.
