Sr. Associate Buyer

 For Buyer services in the Supply Chain Planning Organization area.

WHAT MAKES YOU A FIT:

The Technical Part:  

• Bachelor's Degree with six (6) months of experience in Supply Chain and Buyer area in the regulated industry. 
• Fully Bilingual (English & Spanish)
• Shift: Administrative and according to the business needs. 
• Experience in:
  • Management of Requisitions PO conversion per SAP Report.
  • Raw Materials Planning, Rapid Response. 
  • Manage supplier communication and escalation regarding: PO delivery, missed orders.
  • PO quantity discrepancies, closing balances, missing documents COA / packing list.
  • Smartsheet and any other reporting for metrics.

• Besides being an accounting pro (following all Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, of course), you’re able to make good judgement calls while applying your amazing financial business knowledge. AS A PIECE OF FITS, YOU WILL: (The day-to-day on the job)

• Source possible suppliers and contractors for goods and services. Negotiate, place and expedite MRO orders with suppliers.
• Receives, evaluates and processes the purchase requisitions for contract services, capital equipment, RO's and inventory material, following established company policies and procedures.
• Generate purchase contracts and blanket orders.
• Maintain Purchasing's record database (JDE System) integrity.
• Assist in design and implementation of new systems (i.e. New JDE Release, Corporate Purchasing Card Implementation, Minority Supplier Program.
• Perform special projects to identify cost opportunities and savings.
• Participative Role in the design/implementation and monitoring of the supplier partnership programs.
• Develops new practices and procedures.
• Interact with Quality/Manufacturing/Engineering to develop specifications for new equipment/goods.
• Be creative when problems arise and find solutions within common business and manufacturing practices.
