At AZOMS, we are proud to be Southern Arizona’s premier oral surgery practice, offering compassionate, expert care in a state-of-the-art environment. With locations in Tucson and Oro Valley, our team of highly trained surgeons and dedicated staff specialize in a full scope of oral and maxillofacial procedures — from wisdom teeth removal and dental implants to complex facial surgery. 

We’re currently looking for a PRN Surgical Tech to join our team and support our commitment to surgical excellence and patient care.

Duties include:

  • Oversee inventory and distribution of equipment and supplies.
  • Responsible for controlling the inventory, reordering supplies, and checking expiration dates.
  • Inspect, disassemble, sort, clean, and process reusable instrumentation and equipment.
  • Diagnose problems, replaces or repairs parts, make process adjustments.
  • Maintain current training status on all applicable standard operating procedures.
  • Create processes and tools for mobile use of GIS for data collection and consumption.
  • Responsible for cleanliness of department and all processing equipment.
  • Unload supplies, ensuring items are not compromised and stored in correct location according to tracking system storage locations.
  • Support implementation of new technology for process execution and/or analysis.
  • Ability to maintain composure and professionalism when exposed to stressful situations
  • Knowledge of OSHA and state regulations
  • Knowledge of the English language – composition, grammar, spelling, and punctuation
  • Skilled in the use of standard office equipment including telephones, calculators, copiers, fax, computers, and computer software (MS Excel, Word, Practice Management software)
  • Ability to instill trust from the doctors, co-workers, and patients
  • Ability to work cooperatively with management, staff, and patients
  • Ability to prioritize, organize, and complete tasks in a timely and independent manner
  • Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions and accept constructive criticism
  • Ability to collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions, and maintain confidentiality
  • Ability to communicate and express thoughts and ideas competently
  • Ability to quickly grasp relevant concepts regarding duties and responsibilities
  •   Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
