STP / DRA Engineer

Required Skills & Experience

• 4–8+ years of telecom/wireless network operations experience.
• Strong hands-on expertise with:
  • STP (Signaling Transfer Point) in SS7 networks
  • DRA (Diameter Routing Agent) in LTE/5G networks
• Deep understanding of signaling protocols:
  • SS7 (MTP, SCCP, ISUP, TCAP)
  • Diameter protocol (S6a, Gx, Gy, Rx, etc.)
• Experience with routing, global title translation (GTT), and signaling screening.
• Knowledge of interconnect and roaming signaling flows.
• Familiarity with LTE EPC and 5G Core architecture.
• Experience with Linux/Unix systems.
• Ability to analyze traces using protocol analyzers and logs.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with vendor platforms such as:
  • Oracle (Tekelec) STP / DRA
  • Ericsson Signaling Controller
  • Nokia STP / DRA
• Exposure to virtualization (NFV) and cloud-native telecom deployments.
• Experience with signaling security (firewalls, fraud detection, SMS filtering).
• Familiarity with 5G signaling evolution (SBA, HTTP/2-based interfaces).
• ITIL certification or incident/problem management experience.
