Substitute Teacher

Responsibilities: 

• Follow an age-appropriate curriculum and the instructions of the classroom teacher as closely as possible
• Maintain order in the classroom
• Supervise students at all times
• Ensure the safety of the children, and treat each child with dignity and respect for his/her cultural background.
• Caring and compassionate attitude is a must
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, decision-making, and organizational skills;
• Ability to maintain confidentiality
• Successful background check, and drug/alcohol clearance
• Acknowledgment of, and agreement with, the School's Community Covenant and Statement of Faith.

PRE-EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS

• Successful background check, reference checking, and drug/alcohol screening clearance.
• Acknowledgment of agreement with GAC’s Statement of Faith and Community Covenant.
