Job Description - Summer Nanny for an 11 year old

A bit about us:
            We are a family of 5, Mom, Dad and 11-year-old son, and 2 loving cats, who are originally from the East Coast and moved here about 15 years ago. While we’re all naturally introverted, we enjoy spending quality time together exploring new places. We love going for walks, paddleboarding in the summer, and traveling whenever we can. We’re also big fans of trying out new restaurants, catching movies, and staying active with basketball and pickleball. Our lifestyle is a balance of adventure and relaxation, and we value meaningful connections and peaceful routines.

A bit about you:
            You're a reliable and safety-conscious individual who values clear communication and takes initiative. As a self-starter, you're attentive, a great listener, and always ready to engage. You're happy to help out in the morning. Whether that’s encouraging a child to eat something before school or prepping lunch for the day. You’re also someone who enjoys being active, like tossing a ball around and creating moments of connection through play.

Job Duties:
            This position can be flexible depending on what the candidate is looking for. We need the nanny to be able to be at our home daily from 7:30 am until you drop our son off at camp around 9 am or so. From there, the nanny can either take off until the afternoon pick-up, or grab a coffee, come back to the home, and help keep the home running smoothly by assisting with home management tasks. This will give you a chance to catch up on your favorite podcast or Audible book! These duties could include dishes, meal prep, laundry, home organization, running errands, cat care, garbage and recycling, etc. At around 3 pm, you would then pick up our son from his camp or activity, bring him home, help him get a snack, and hang out until Mom or Dad arrives back home. Driving will be required, and the nanny will need to use their own car.

Position Highlights: Guaranteed hours, mileage reimbursement, fun, flexible schedule
Qualifications: Reliable, Safety focused, a self-starter, and good communicator.
Set yourself apart: Love sports, classical music or speak Japanese or Chinese.
Schedule: Starting June 2^nd, Monday to Friday from 7:30-9 am and 3-4:30 pm, going until August 29^th. No care needed June 30^th to July 4^th and July 28^th to August 1^st.
