Summer Seasonal Housekeeping Staff (On Campus Housing Available)

POSITION SUMMARY: Under the supervision of the Director of Hospitality Services, Seasonal Housekeeping Staff members maintain a clean and comfortable environment in all accommodations, meeting spaces, program facilities, and public areas.  

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: N/A

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1. Per assigned team or route, daily cleans assigned areas including accommodations, meeting spaces, program facilities, public places:

a. Cleans guest rooms, includes bathrooms; vacuums, sweeps, makes beds, and empties trash.

b. Cleans public areas, includes vacuums, sweeps, washes windows, empties trash and straightens furniture. 

c. Cleans cottages between guests, includes kitchens, bathrooms, bedrooms, and living areas, stocks linen closets and other supplies.

2. Assists with cleaning of cottages and other routes daily.

3. Cleans public restrooms daily; cleans staff restrooms Sunday–Friday.

4. Practices safe chemical usage. Note: If under 16 years old, may not use bathroom cleaning chemicals. 

5. Maintains clean and clutter-free areas on assigned route and hospitality services staff area.

6. Reports any damage or maintenance concerns.

7. Performs other duties, as requested.

8. As a 24-hour operation, all staff may be asked to work weekends, evenings, night shifts and/or holidays to serve our members, guests, and program participants.

Requirements

• High school degree  or equivalent required.
• A valid driver’s license is preferred, but not required.
• Ability to interpret oral and written informational data is required.
• Must be able to establish and maintain effective working relationships with diverse groups of people representing all social and economic segments of the community.
• Excellent customer service skills and the ability to enforce rules in a professional and positive manner is a must.
