Job Summary:


Responsible for taking orders, put orders together and collect payment for all alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages and food. Provide quality service to our guests in a prompt, courteous and professional manner. Expected to serve alcoholic beverages responsibly as outlined in TIPS Training in accordance with state laws. You are expected to adhere to the company’s mission, vision and value statements. Be knowledgeable of the company’s management systems, policies and initiatives for Hospitality, Environmental, and Health and Safety. You have specific responsibilities within these areas and are expected to understand them.


 


Job Specifications:



  • Starting Wage: $17.75/hr

  • Employment Type: Summer Seasonal 2026

  • Shift Type: Full Time

  • Minimum Age: At least 18 years of age

  • Housing Availability: Yes 


 


Job Responsibulities:



  • Ensure all company policies, procedures, service standards and assigned duties are performed correctly and efficiently.

  • Maintain a positive and professional rapport with all staff and guests.

  • Be familiar and comply with Brand Standards and NPS Standards.

  • Become knowledgeable of all Food and Beverage items available.

  • Become knowledgeable of general information on GTLC operations and National Park.

  • Greet guests by offering them a warm, heartfelt welcome.

  • Attend pre-shift meetings; make notes of items being served as the specials and of any other information conveyed.

  • Ensure prompt accurate service with anticipation and compliance of all guests’ needs reducing wait lines.

  • Give every guest a fond farewell, thanking them for their business and inviting them to come back and see us again.

  • Record all sales on the Point of Sale system and assign pagers to every order.

  • Operate toaster or dessert station or expedite orders as assigned.

  • Responsible for keeping stock of all take out items, food and beverages, prepacking of sides and sauces and making drinks.

  • Responsible for the cleanliness of the takeout area maintaining a clean and organized work area.

  • Responsible for maintaining all restaurant equipment in operational order.

  • Responsible to report all maintenance concerns to the Maintenance Dept.

  • Assist in the opening and closing procedures of the Restaurant

  • Prepare your cash drop and receipts audit pack according to training standards at the end of the shift.

  • Complete all assigned pre-shift side duties and ensure the restaurant is set 15 minutes prior to opening.

  • Complete all assigned post-shift side duties.

  • Monitor alcohol consumption and behavior of guests to ensure responsible service of alcohol.

  • Maintain a professional, well-groomed appearance and pleasant demeanor.

  • Support Food and Beverage management initiative.

  • Other duties as assigned.


 


Job Requirements:



  • TIPs Certified.

  • Ability to use POS Terminals.

  • Excellent people skills

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Able to work long hours and varied shifts

  • Cash handling skills

  • Must be 21 or older to serve alcohol.


Preferred:



  • Cash Handling experience

  • Prior Point of Sale system experience

  • Prior Food and Beverage experience
