Teacher Assistant (Non-Instructional) | Grades 4-6 | Long-term Substitute

Date Range for Position: From 8/4/2025 through approximately 10/31/2025

Minimum Requirements: High School diploma

General Purpose: The Upper Elementary Teacher Assistant (Non-instructional) aide will provide general assistance and support to teachers and administration.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Support school operations.


• Effectively interact with students in such areas as problem solving, conflict resolution, self-discipline, etc. during non-class time. Supervise and support students in non-instructional areas such as student lunch programs, car line duty, crossing guard duty, actively monitoring recess, and transitions between classes and buildings.


• Regularly assist with student health, including administration of first aid.


• Provides support to homeroom teachers to include assigned clerical duties, grading, making copies, filing papers, changing bulletin boards, etc.


• May serve in a substitute role, when necessary, Support the school’s mission through fidelity to policies and practices.


• Work cooperatively with school staff and administration.

Salary: $16.00 per hour
