Technical Design Freelancer

Job Description: Assistant level 

• Partner with Technical team to provide accurate specs/measurements for existing garments


• Organize and label samples by season and status


• Assist the senior and associate technical designers with fittings when appropriate


• Prepare samples and supplies for fittings


• Update techpacks with relevant information like construction details, specs, and comments


• Update techpacks with relevant information like construction details, specs, and comments


• Review garments for quality and consistency

Requirements: 

• Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design, Technical Design, or a related field


• Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Creative Suite, and CAD software for creating technical sketches and specifications


• Strong understanding of garment construction, pattern making, grading, and textiles


• Excellent organizational skills with a keen attention to detail


• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to articulate technical information clearly


• Experience with PLM systems is a plus

Hourly Rate: $20-$30/hr

Weekly Hours: 24hr/week

Days of the Week: Tuesday-Thursday in office

Time Frame: spread out between last week of June - early December
