Responsibilities:
- Install, mount, and configure wireless access points (WAPs) in offices, data centers, warehouses, or remote locations
- Perform site surveys to determine optimal access point placement for coverage, capacity, and performance
- Configure wireless settings including SSIDs, VLANs, encryption, authentication, and access controls
- Run and terminate Ethernet cabling as needed, including testing and labeling network drops
- Troubleshoot wireless connectivity, interference, signal strength, and performance issues
- Monitor wireless network performance and recommend improvements or upgrades
- Collaborate with network engineers and IT teams to integrate WAPs with existing network infrastructure
- Maintain accurate documentation of installations, configurations, and network diagrams
- Ensure compliance with security policies and industry standards
- Provide end-user support related to wireless connectivity issues
- Assist with firmware updates, patching, and lifecycle management of wireless equipment
