  • Monitor financial accounts, including restricted accounts, tracking expenses, and preparing stewardship reports.
  • Hire, train, and supervise student workers.
  • Maintain and regularly update the IRR website.
  • Assist the leadership team and affiliated faculty with administrative and project support.
  • Manage the Director’s and Initiative’s calendar, correspondence, and event-related travel.
  • Oversee IRR’s physical spaces; receive visitors and phone calls courteously and professionally.
  • Coordinate logistics for advertising events, including communications about event details and the graphic design of posters and web-based promotional materials.
  • Order office supplies, maintain filing systems, and ensure the office remains organized and professional in appearance.
  • Sort and distribute incoming mail.
  • Provide clerical and digital design support for IRR projects, including the board, the Multiracial Democracy Working Group, and the leadership team.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned to support the Initiative’s extensive projects and programs.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in administrative support, event planning, or office management preferred.
  • Strong organizational, time management, and multitasking skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Professional demeanor with the ability to interact effectively with faculty, staff, students, and visitors.
  • Familiarity with financial tracking and reporting.
  • Proficiency in office software (Microsoft Office, Google Workspace) and willingness to learn University-specific systems.
