Summary:
A bit about us: We are a welcoming, kind family in Issaquah, WA preparing to welcome our first child in mid-January. One parent will typically be home during the workday, either working remotely or recovering postpartum, and we’re seeking a nanny who is comfortable in a collaborative, parent-present environment. We value calm, professional energy, clear communication, and respect for cultural preferences and household boundaries. This is a short-term placement intended to provide dedicated newborn support during the early months.

A bit about you: You are an experienced, confident newborn nanny who truly understands infant needs, routines, and developmental milestones. You are thoughtful and adaptable in your approach, valuing open communication and aligning your caregiving style with the family’s preferences. You’re comfortable working in a home with indoor security cameras, you have a love for diversity, and ideally have experience working with families of different cultures. You are reliable, professional, and happy to focus fully on baby-related care.

Job Duties: Primary responsibilities include full newborn care such as feedings, diapering, naps, tummy time, and engaging in age-appropriate activities while the baby is awake. You will support the establishment of healthy routines and milestones during the day. Light household tasks related solely to the baby are expected, including baby laundry and bottle cleaning. We hope that you’re comfortable around dogs too, as we have a friendly Shiba Inu, but no pet care is required. Start Date: Mid-February, ideally February 23^rd.
Location: Issaquah, 98029
Position Highlights: Temporary full-time placement (3–4 months). Consistent weekday schedule. Calm, supportive household with a parent present. Focused newborn-only role (no unrelated household duties.)
Qualifications:

Multiple years of extensive, hands-on experience caring for newborns and young infants
Strong understanding of infant development, routines, and safety
Comfortable with parents working from home and indoor security cameras
Up to date on infant-related vaccinations (Tdap, flu, COVID)
Reliable transportation to and from the family’s home
Glowing references from recent nanny positions.

Set yourself apart: Newborn care certifications or additional infant training. Calm, adaptable demeanor with strong boundary awareness. Ability to seamlessly support parents during the postpartum period.
Schedule: M-F 8:00 am – 4:00 pm
Pay: $32-39

Working Conditions and Requirements:

Work environment will be active, kid-centric and includes clean up of activities
Part of each day may be spent outside, weather permitting, and will be active play
Essential Physical Requirements:
- Position involves regular lifting, bending, squatting, reaching and pushing
- Must be able to lift 35 pounds safely
- Must be able to get up from and down to the floor numerous times throughout the day
- Will need to be able to react quickly to certain situations
- May need to react to emergent situations in a calm, effective and safe manner
