Job Description

The Student Engagement Coordinator plays a key role in advancing student entrepreneurship initiatives by managing outreach activities, coordinating events, and providing project management support for major programs. This position supports competitions such as the Tri-Continental, ACC, and McCloskey New Venture competitions, as well as bootcamps and the Race to Revenue summer program. In addition, the Coordinator partners with the Associate Director of Admissions to exchange recruiting leads for the ESTEEM Graduate Program.

This role is ideal for someone with strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and experience in event coordination or marketing, who is eager to foster student involvement and engagement.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide project management support for signature programs including theTri-Continental, ACC, McCloskey New Venture competitions, evening bootcamps, and the Race to Revenue program.
  • Manage event logistics, including scheduling, timelines, catering, venue setup, and follow-up.
  • Track deliverables and ensure clear communication with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Develop and coordinate outreach strategies to increase student participation in entrepreneurship programs, including ESTEEM Graduate Program recruiting.
  • Encourage student submissions and involvement through targeted communication.
  • Support “Student Connections” initiatives linking interested students with founders seeking assistance.
  • Assist with the creation of promotional materials including flyers, announcement emails, and light social media activity. 
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to ensure consistent messaging and timely promotion of events and programs.
  • Maintain communication records, enter data, and assist with scheduling.
  • Provide administrative support for ongoing programs and events.
  • Manage routine logistical issues such as catering, calendar conflicts, and event execution challenges.
  • May provide day-to-day direction to 1–3 interns assisting with event coordination and outreach.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent experience considered.
  • Prior experience in event coordination, project management, or related roles required.
  • Experience in marketing, student engagement, or academic environments preferred.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
  • Basic marketing skills (flyer design, email drafting, social media posting).
  • Keen attention to detail.

Additional Information

Other Requirements:

  • Occasional evening or weekend event support.
  • Strong interest in student development and entrepreneurship.
