Job Description - Therapist Inpatient Psychiatry

JOB OVERVIEW

• Job Title: Therapist – Inpatient Psychiatry

• Job Type: Contract

• Location: Bozeman, MT

• Service Setting: Inpatient Behavioral Health Unit

• Coverage Type: Clinical Only

• Coverage Period: 8/11/2025 – 11/09/2025

• Clinical Shift Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 4:30pm (40 hours/week)

• Rate: $61.70/hr

PATIENT INFORMATION

• Patient Demographics: Adults

• Patient Volume/Census: TBD

• Case Mix: Acute psychiatric crises, mental health, discharge planning

FACILITY INFORMATION

• No. of Beds in Department: 50–149

• Trauma Level: Level 3

• EMR System: Epic

• Specialty Backup Available: Multidisciplinary team including psychiatry and case management

• Support Staff Available: RNs, interdisciplinary care team

• Reason for Coverage: Staffing need

REQUIRED PROCEDURES

• Individual, group, and family therapy

• Discharge planning and case management

• Psycho-education and crisis intervention

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Licenses: Licensed as LCSW, LCPC, or LMFT in MT (or licensure eligible)

• Certifications: American Heart Association BLS

• Experience: Less than 1 year acceptable; 1+ years preferred

• Other Qualifications: Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or related field

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide therapy, discharge planning, and crisis intervention for adult inpatients

• Participate in treatment planning and coordination with interdisciplinary team

• Document all clinical activities and maintain accurate records

• Monitor treatment response and make adjustments as needed

• Facilitate referrals to community services and therapeutic resources

• Adhere to compliance and safety standards related to physical and emotional exposures
