Tram Driver

Job Overview

This position provides excellent customer service to guests by providing tram service transportation to various locations throughout the facility in a safe and efficient manner.

Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited, to the following:

• Cleans and inspects tram to ensure tram is clean, fueled, and functioning properly and reports problems to supervisor immediately.


• Greets guests with a friendly smile and provides prompt and courteous customer service.


• Communicate effectively, answering questions and providing directions.


• Provides transport service in a comfortable, safe, and timely manner.


• Consults patrons and gets approval from patrons before loading, securing, transporting, unloading, and moving their property on or off the tram.


• Drives tram in a safe and prudent manner on designated routes, refuels tram after peak use, and park tram in designated location when not in use.


• Practices non-aggressive, defensive driving techniques, anticipates and reports traffic problems to other drivers.


• Monitors and responds to communication over radio.


• Complies with all safety policies, guidelines, and procedures.


• Prepares and submits reports and forms for each shift.


• Ensures Drivers License is always valid and in possession while driving.


• Report accidents immediately to security and supervisor. (Follow accident protocol)


• Performs other related duties as assigned when needed.


• Promotes the District's F.A.I.R. values by creating a quality guest experience for both internal and external customers.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service, communications skills, and driving skills.


• Good judgement and professionalism.


• Possess a valid driver’s license with two years’ experience. (Class A or B preferred)


• Ability to work cooperatively with team members and other staff.


• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Working Conditions

• Drives and sits for sustained periods.


• Moves objects up to 50 pounds.


• Involves some exposure to hazards or physical risk that require following safety precautions.


• Works outdoors and is exposed to weather conditions, dust, dirt, and exhaust fumes.


• Works a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays when necessary.
