Job Description - Travel Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant Job

Overview
Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) travel assignment in Mount Olive, North Carolina. Specialty: Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant. Start date: 03/30/2026. Duration: 13 weeks. Weekly pay: $1,440–$1,539 per week. Guaranteed hours: 35 per week. Shift: 5x8 days, 08:00–16:30. Setting: Corrections. This is a travel - temporary assignment.

Responsibilities
- Conduct initial assessments and develop treatment plans for assigned patients within a corrections setting.
- Implement, monitor, and adjust therapy interventions focusing on activities of daily living, upper-extremity function, mobility, balance, and cognition.
- Deliver individual and group therapy sessions as appropriate; coordinate with the health care team for discharge planning.
- Document patient progress in the electronic medical record; ensure timely, accurate reporting and adherence to facility policies.
- Maintain safety, infection control, and security protocols; adapt activities to security requirements and patient safety.
- Collaborate with the OT/therapy team to modify plans and communicate progress to supervising clinicians.

Requirements
- Active Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant credential and eligibility for practice in North Carolina.
- Ability to work effectively in a corrections setting and adhere to facility policies.
- Availability to begin on 03/30/2026 and commit to a 13-week travel assignment.
- Strong documentation and communication skills.
- Ability to work 35 hours per week with a 5-day, 8-hour schedule as described.
