Job Description - Travel Laboratory Medical Laboratory Technician Job

Embark on a vital journey as a Medical Laboratory Technician within a dynamic laboratory team, delivering precise diagnostics and patient-centered insights in Delta, Colorado, with the exciting possibility of assignments across the United States. This opportunity puts you at the heart of healthcare, where disciplined technique, meticulous attention to detail, and collaborative problem-solving translate into real-world impact. Your work will help clinicians tailor treatments, accelerate accurate diagnoses, and provide reassurance to patients and families. Beyond the lab, Colorado’s renowned beauty awaits—snow-dusted peaks, vast plains, and sunlit canyons invite exploration after your shifts. The Delta community combines small-town warmth with easy access to outdoor adventures, while nearby mountain towns offer weekend getaways and seasonal activities that enrich your life outside work.

Location Benefits: Delta, Colorado presents a welcoming base with a vibrant local culture, with convenient access to outdoor recreation, medical access, and a friendly, supportive network of healthcare professionals. The role also provides the option to participate in assignments across various locations in the U.S., opening doors to diverse clinical settings, state-of-the-art equipment, and broadened professional experiences. Whether you’re refining hematology techniques, expanding chemistry panel capabilities, or collaborating with microbiology teams, you’ll benefit from stable, predictable workflow in a base position and the flexibility to explore new environments through additional contracts. You’ll enjoy the advantages of a community-oriented locale with excellent schools, healthcare infrastructure, and outdoor amenities that balance demanding shifts with restorative downtime. Your schedule emphasizes guaranteed hours, steady compensation, and the security of a well-supported travel program designed to minimize stress and maximize professional growth.

Role Specifics and Benefits: In this role, you’ll perform a range of laboratory duties essential to patient care. Core responsibilities include specimen receipt and accessioning, accurate processing, and timely running of routine and specialized tests on laboratory analyzers, with strict adherence to established protocols and quality control measures. You’ll interpret preliminary data, verify results, and ensure precise documentation in the LIS/EHR, while maintaining instrument calibration, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting to minimize downtime. You’ll participate in proficiency testing, handle quality assurance activities, and uphold safety, compliance, and regulatory standards. Collaboration with pathologists, clinicians, and fellow technologists will be daily bread as you contribute to a culture of accuracy, turnaround-time reliability, and continuous improvement. The role also offers robust opportunities for professional growth—from cross-training in hematology, chemistry, microbiology, and molecular diagnostics to pursuing advanced certifications and leadership tracks within the lab’s competencies.

You’ll receive a competitive compensation package, including a weekly pay range of $1,486–$1,569, reflecting your expertise, responsibility, and the value you bring to patient care. In addition to competitive wages, you’ll have access to a sign-on bonus, housing assistance tailored to your needs, and opportunities to extend your contract for continued stability and career progression. The position supports extension opportunities so you can build a longer-term presence within a trusted healthcare network. A standout feature of our travel program is 24/7 support while you’re on assignment, ensuring you’re never alone when you encounter challenges—our dedicated team is available around the clock to assist with scheduling, housing, transportation, credentialing, and any clinical or logistical concerns. You’ll be guaranteed 40 hours per week, with a Start Date of 03/02/2026 and a duration described as several weeks, providing a concrete path to immediate impact while maintaining flexibility for future assignments.

The company values a culture that empowers staff, prioritizes career advancement, and cultivates a supportive, inclusive work environment. You’ll find mentorship, ongoing education, and structured growth opportunities designed to elevate your clinical leadership and technical proficiency while honoring your professional autonomy. The organization emphasizes collaboration, accountability, and compassion, encouraging you to take ownership of your professional development and to mentor teammates in best practices. Expect a work climate that respects diverse perspectives, recognizes contributions, and rewards initiative with meaningful career trajectories and continued learning. The role is designed to be not only a temporary placement but a stepping stone to greater responsibilities within a national network of laboratories committed to clinical excellence.

Call to Action: If you’re ready to join a forward-thinking team that values your clinical skill, your curiosity, and your commitment to patient care, apply today.
