Shift timings: 8\-hr, Days, 8a \- 5.30 p | Varied \- Days/Afternoons/Nights
Schedule: 40 hours/week guaranteed, 5 X 8\-hr shifts, Weekend coverage as required \- Holiday coverage as required, No call
Position Requirements:
- Recent/Current LNA experience (recent within 6 months): 1+ year \- Required
- LTC or SNF \- Recent experience â Required
- Must be willing to float where experienced \- Required
- Rural/small facility experience â Highly Preferred
- Covid Vaccination Required, Declination/Exemptions not accepted at this facility
- Prior travel or contract assignment experience â Preferred
- Traveler must have their own reliable transportation \- Ride share or public transportation not available at this location
Education, License and Certification Requirements:
- LNA License for State of NH or compact \- Required
- BLS Certifications from AHA \- Required
Job Description:
- Delivers basic nursing and restorative care within the facilities policies and procedures, under the supervision of LPNs and RNs.
- Attend report prior to starting resident care and keep licensed personnel informed of significant observations in resident care and environmental conditions, supply and equipment needs, and performance problems.
- Assist residents with all aspects of personal hygiene including bathing, grooming, and dressing; administer specified skin care treatments according to facility protocol and the Resident Care Plan.
- Provide assistance to residents for ambulation and movement including range of motion, turning, positioning, supporting or transferring; and assist residents with nutrition and bodily waste including feeding, hydration, toileting, bowel/bladder training, input and output and caloric counts.
- Secure a safe environment for staff and residents by reacting to emergency situations per facility policy such as fire drills, redirecting wandering/confused residents, and resident falls; and ensure resident safety at all times and protect the rights of all residents at all times.
- Obtain adequate knowledge of Resident Care Plans in order to provide basic nursing care; comply with established nursing standards and policies and procedures of the nursing department and the facility; and maintain resident confidentiality and privacy.
- Identify and utilize infection control technique at all times; respect the spiritual belief system of residents; encourage residents to participate in their care appropriate to the residents optimal level of physical and mental functioning.
