Travel Physical Therapist Job

Overview
AK - Physical Therapist in Cordova, Alaska. This travel assignment begins on 05/11/2026 for 16 weeks, with 36 guaranteed hours per week. The shift is 5x8 days. The weekly pay range is $2,794–$2,863. The PT will provide services in a hospital-affiliated care setting with a mix of outpatient and acute care therapy, including occasional Long Term Care consultations. Housing is provided (shared or single, as available) with no pets in provided housing. Travel arrangements can be made if requested.

Responsibilities
- Perform PT evaluations and develop/adjust individualized treatment plans for outpatients, acute care, and swing patient populations; monitor and document progress.
- Administer PT interventions, exercises, and modalities; tailor approaches to a diverse patient mix and changing clinical demands.
- Educate patients and families on mobility, safety, and home exercise programs; document outcomes and coordinate with the care team.
- Collaborate with occupational therapy and other rehabilitation staff; participate in interdisciplinary rounds as needed.
- Maintain accurate electronic medical record documentation; ensure compliance with privacy and safety standards.
- Support discharge planning and referrals for continued therapy as appropriate.

Requirements
- Active Alaska state license to practice as a Physical Therapist
- Graduation from an accredited PT program with a Bachelor of Science or Master of Science in Physical Therapy
- Minimum 2 years direct patient care experience in varied settings
- Current BLS certification
- Excellent verbal and written communication; ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
- Basic computing skills (email, word processing, spreadsheets)
