Travel Radiology MRI Tech Job

Overview
MRI Technologist (Radiology) – Travel assignment in Olathe, Kansas. Start date 05/03/2026 for a 13-week contract in a Short Term Acute Care Hospital setting. Shift is 4x10-hour days, Friday through Monday, 7:30 AM–5:00 PM. Weekly pay range $2,595 to $2,679. This assignment has no guaranteed hours and may require on-site coverage at two KS locations as needed.

Responsibilities
- Perform MRI examinations on adult and pediatric patients per physician orders, following established protocols and safety guidelines.
- Operate MRI equipment (examples include Philips Achieva and Siemens 1.5T Sola) and adjust imaging parameters to obtain diagnostic-quality images while ensuring patient safety and comfort.
- Screen patients for implants, contraindications, and safety risks; monitor patients during scanning and manage IV contrast per protocol.
- Properly position patients, apply immobilization devices as needed, and communicate instructions to obtain optimal images; maintain patient privacy and infection control.
- Acquire, review, and route images to the PACS (Cerner, Unity PACS, Inteview PACS); collaborate with radiologists and other staff for accurate interpretation.
- Maintain equipment, report malfunctions, and adhere to department policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.

Requirements
- License/Certification: ARMRIT certification or ARRT (MR) certification and BLS required.
- Experience: Minimum 2 years MRI technologist experience; at least 1 year of travel experience preferred.
- Equipment/Tech: Proficiency with MRI systems (Philips Achieva, Siemens 1.5T Sola) and familiarity with hospital PACS platforms (Cerner, Unity PACS, Inteview PACS).
- General: Ability to work in a multi-site travel assignment (Olathe and Paola, KS) and adapt to variable schedules; strong communication and patient-care skills.
