Step into a pivotal Radiology role as a Special Procedures Tech, where your precision and compassion will drive exceptional patient outcomes in a dynamic travel assignment. You’ll operate at the forefront of interventional imaging, guiding complex procedures from diagnostic angiography to therapeutic interventions, and you’ll do so with the autonomy to refine technique, collaborate across teams, and expand your clinical horizons. This is more than a job—it’s a path to mastering high-stakes imaging in diverse environments, building leadership capacity, and shaping the future of interventional care through your expertise, responsiveness, and patient-centered approach. As you embark on this journey, imagine the impact you can have on patients and communities while exploring the breadth of California’s landscapes and the broader opportunities available nationwide.
California’s beauty is the backdrop for your professional pursuits. In Sonora and the surrounding region, you’ll enjoy a foothold in a historic Gold Country town with a rich sense of community, charming streets, and easy access to outdoor adventures. When you’re off shift, you can soak in golden hour vistas along rolling foothills, hike the nearby trails, or plan weekend escapes to Yosemite’s awe-inspiring granite walls, the serene clarity of Lake Don Pedro, or a coastal drive to the rugged beauty of Northern California. Separately, the state’s renowned coastline, diverse ecosystems, and world-class wine regions offer restorative getaways and inspiration as you balance demanding clinical work with recharge and growth.
Location benefits go beyond the work setting. Working in Sonora provides a supportive, smaller-city feel with access to modern imaging resources, streamlined collaboration with physicians, and a community where your contributions are recognized. If you prefer broader experiences, this role also opens opportunities to work across various locations within the United States, allowing you to expand your clinical repertoire, encounter a range of interventional protocols, and build a robust professional network. You’ll benefit from a structured travel program designed to minimize downtime between assignments, with clear pathways to extend contracts and advance within the organization. The role is designed to provide flexible housing options, travel-friendly scheduling, and a supportive infrastructure so you can focus on delivering high-quality patient care and elevating your skill set.
In this role, you’ll tackle core responsibilities that define the Special Procedures Tech path. Your duties will include preparing and operating interventional imaging equipment—primarily C-arm fluoroscopy—during invasive vascular and nonvascular procedures. You’ll assist physicians with catheter-based interventions, biopsy guidance, spinal and peripheral procedures, and complex diagnostic studies, ensuring precise imaging, sterile technique, and patient comfort at every step. You’ll monitor and manage patient conditions through prep, procedure, and post-procedure phases, administer contrast as directed, and maintain rigorous safety standards and radiation protection. You’ll document procedures, maintain quality control and equipment checks, and participate in team-based case reviews to support continuous improvement. This role offers meaningful professional growth through exposure to advanced devices, evolving imaging modalities, and cross-disciplinary collaboration, with opportunities to enhance certifications and expand scope across the interventional suite. The benefits are designed to attract and retain top performers: competitive weekly pay ranging from $2,374 to $2,515, a potential sign-on bonus, housing assistance to ease relocation, and the option for contract extensions to continue your trajectory. You’ll have access to 24/7 support while traveling with the company, ensuring you receive assistance whenever and wherever you need it, from onboarding through every assignment.
Company values center empowerment, teamwork, and career advancement. The organization is committed to cultivating a supportive work environment where your voice is heard, your skills are nurtured, and your professional goals are aligned with compassionate patient care. You will be encouraged to pursue ongoing training, mentorship, and certification opportunities that broaden your practice within interventional radiology, while maintaining a healthy work–life balance through dependable scheduling and a collaborative culture.
