Responsibilities
- Assess nutritional status and develop, implement, and monitor medical nutrition therapy for assigned patients.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to optimize nutrition care plans and patient outcomes.
- Order, modify, and document diet prescriptions and nutrition interventions in the electronic health record.
- Provide patient- and family-centered nutrition education, tailoring plans to individual needs and cultural considerations.
- Participate in care rounds and discharge planning to support continuity of care.
- Maintain accuracy and timeliness in documentation and coding related to diet orders.
- Monitor and evaluate patient tolerance to prescribed diets and adjust plans as clinically indicated.

Requirements
- Active Registered Dietitian credential from the Commission on Dietetic Registration, or eligibility for registration.
- Bachelor of Science in Human Nutrition and Dietetics.
- NYS Certified Dietitian/Nutritionist is preferred.
- One year acute care or long-term care experience preferred.
- Proficiency with electronic health records; familiarity with PointClickCare, Meditech, MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook is preferred.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical setting and communicate clearly with patients, families, and the care team.
- Eligible to work in the United States and able to participate in a 13-week travel assignment.
