Travel RN — Emergency Department (Combined Adult/Pediatric) in a Critical Access Hospital setting. Location: Massena, New York, United States. Start date: May 26, 2026. Duration: Weeks. Weekly pay: $2,084–$2,165. Shift: 3x12 Nights. Orientation: 48 hours. This assignment requires EPIC charting experience and supports a full-scope ED for adults and pediatrics in a community hospital environment.

Responsibilities
- Provide emergency department care for combined adult and pediatric patient populations, including triage and ongoing assessment.
- Interpret dysrhythmias and deliver ACLS-level cardiac support; initiate and monitor treatment plans for acute presentations.
- Establish and maintain IV access; administer vasopressors and blood products as indicated; perform phlebotomy.
- Support ventilated patients (ventilator and BiPAP/CPAP management) and manage isolation precautions/PPE.
- Conduct comprehensive stroke/head injury assessments and coordinate with interdisciplinary teams; execute procedures within ED scope.
- Document care in EPIC; utilize Pyxis for medication dispensing and SBAR for handoffs; participate in timely communication with the care team.
Requirements
- Active New York RN license in hand to submit; eligible to practice in the state.
- Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS required; TNCC preferred.
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of recent relevant ED experience; travel experience required; unit does not accept first-time travelers.
- Education: Nursing degree (RN) from an accredited program; ability to work in a high-volume ED with adult and pediatric patients.
- Proficiency with EPIC charting; ability to perform duties in a fast-paced, acute care environment.
- Must be able to work the listed shift and comply with unit policies; compliance standards require travel distance from local limits.
