Embark on a rewarding journey as a Registered Nurse in Home Health, delivering compassionate, patient-centered care to adults in Maine, South Portland, beginning 02/23/2026. This role invites you to blend clinical expertise with family-centered education, helping patients remain independent at home while navigating complex health needs. From wound care and medication management to fall prevention and lifestyle coaching, you’ll craft personalized plans that enhance quality of life. In this environment, your nursing skills will operate at the intersection of clinical excellence and human connection, enabling patients to stay safely where they feel most at ease—their own homes. And if you’re drawn to exploring new places, you’ll be part of a program that also offers opportunities to provide care in diverse settings across the United States. Plus, Maine’s scenic beauty—lighthouses along the coast, coastal towns like Portland and Freeport, the mountains of western Maine, vibrant fall foliage, and a thriving seafood scene—offers a daily backdrop that inspires the work you do.
Location Benefits: Working in South Portland situates you in a lively coastal hub with easy access to beaches, waterways, museums, parks, and a robust healthcare community. You’ll enjoy the comforts of a walkable city with a strong sense of community, excellent schools, and proximity to Portland’s cultural amenities. The region is renowned for its outdoor recreation—from seaside strolls to hiking trails and boating—creating a balanced lifestyle that sustains high-quality patient care. For those drawn to travel beyond Maine, our program supports assignments across the U.S., delivering the same inclusive, patient-focused care in diverse communities. You can broaden your professional horizons while still returning to the beloved New England experience between assignments, with housing assistance and competitive compensation that acknowledge the demands and rewards of travel nursing.
Role Specifics and Benefits: As a Home Health RN, you’ll perform comprehensive home-based assessments, develop and implement individualized care plans, monitor clinical progress, and provide education to patients and families on disease management, medications, wound care, nutrition, and safety. You’ll coordinate with physicians, therapists, and social workers to ensure seamless transitions of care, arrange durable medical equipment when needed, and document thoroughly in our electronic health record. With guaranteed 40 hours per week and a start date of 02/23/2026, you’ll enjoy predictable scheduling and the opportunity for extension after the initial contract. The position offers a competitive weekly pay range of 2,271 to 2,338, reflecting your expertise and the value you bring to patients’ home environments. In addition to competitive compensation, you’ll receive a sign-on bonus, housing assistance, and the potential for contract extensions that align with patient needs and program growth. You’ll benefit from robust support, including 24/7 assistance while traveling with the company, local and national on-call resources, and a dedicated clinical liaison to help you navigate complex cases. This role also emphasizes ongoing professional development—mentoring from seasoned home health clinicians, access to continuing education, and progressive career pathways within our organization.
Company Values: Our organization is built on a foundation of empowering our staff to advance in their careers while maintaining a compassionate, patient-first culture. We value collaboration, continuous learning, and a supportive work environment where nurses are encouraged to voice ideas, champion patient safety, and lead improvement efforts in home health care. You’ll find a culture that recognizes your expertise, respects your time, and actively supports professional growth through structured orientation, peer mentorship, and leadership opportunities.
