Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care to critically ill adult and non-acute patients in the ICU, including hemodynamic monitoring and bedside nursing.
- Manage IV therapies, medication administration, sedation and analgesia per physician orders, and ventilator support as required.
- Monitor patient status, interpret changes, respond to emergencies, and collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to adjust care plans.
- Assist with patient admissions, transfers, discharges, and coordinate with ER when floating occurs between units.
- Document assessments, interventions, and patient outcomes accurately in the electronic medical record.
- Adhere to infection control, safety protocols, and hospital policies; participate in ongoing quality improvement and patient safety initiatives.

Requirements
- Active California RN license
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required (American Heart Association)
- Minimum 2 years ICU nursing experience; ER experience preferred
- ICU and ER experience preferred due to potential floating between units
- Ability to work a 3x12 night shift schedule and functioning effectively in a critical access hospital setting
- Strong communication and teamwork skills; ability to adapt to variable patient census and acuity
