Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care for antepartum, labor, delivery, postpartum, and nursery patients
- Monitor fetal status and maternal vitals; perform fetal surveillance and respond to changes in labor progression
- Administer medications and treatments per orders; manage pain control and IV therapy as needed
- Assist during labor and delivery; support OB team and perform OB circulator duties if assigned
- Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the medical record; ensure patient safety and infection control
Requirements
- Certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NRP required
- Experience: Experienced L&D RN with antepartum, labor, postpartum, and nursery care; ability to manage approximately 20–30 deliveries per month
- Preferred: OB circulator experience
- Ability to work nights and perform effectively in a rural hospital setting
