Job Description - Travel Registered Nurse OR Job

Step into the operating room as an OR-Registered Nurse in Honolulu, Hawaii, where your surgical expertise blends with the warmth of aloha to create life-changing patient care. In this role, you will join a dynamic, collaborative OR team dedicated to precision, compassion, and outcomes that matter. Your hands will guide intricate procedures, your clinical judgment will help families through critical moments, and your professional growth will be fueled by diverse cases, cutting-edge technologies, and a supportive community that values your contribution. Starting 03/09/2026, you’ll embark on a weeks-long assignment with guaranteed hours, delivering excellence while living in one of America’s most beloved destinations. Imagine balancing the intensity of the surgical suite with the serenity of island living, where every shift ends with a sunset by the Pacific and a sense of purpose that travels with you.

Location benefits go beyond the heat of the OR. Honolulu offers a vibrant blend of world-class healthcare facilities and island hospitality, where sophisticated centers use advanced imaging, robotics, and minimally invasive techniques to optimize patient recovery. You’ll experience high-caliber cases alongside teams that honor cultural perspectives, promote respectful communication, and prioritize patient dignity. The city’s scenic beauty—from pristine shoreline to lush mountains—provides a backdrop that recharges you after demanding days in the OR. For professionals who value breadth, there are also opportunities to work at designated partner locations across the U.S., enabling you to broaden your clinical repertoire, study diverse protocols, and cultivate a robust professional network while maintaining Hawaii as your home base or rotation hub. This combination of elite clinical exposure and the chance to experience multiple systems can accelerate your mastery of perioperative care and elevate your leadership potential.

In this role, you’ll perform essential duties as a circulating and/or scrub RN in various surgical specialties, including orthopedics, general, plastics, neurosurgery, and robotics-enhanced procedures. Your responsibilities span the full spectrum of the operative experience: ensuring meticulous sterile technique, performing instrument and sponge counts, coordinating with surgeons and anesthesia providers, preparing and positioning patients safely, and managing equipment and room turnover to maximize efficiency without compromising safety. You’ll participate in preoperative assessments, verify patient consent and allergy status, and support postoperative care planning as part of a seamless care continuum. You’ll advocate for patient safety, recognize and mitigate intraoperative risks, and contribute to evidence-based practices that improve outcomes. This role provides a fertile ground for professional growth—gaining proficiency with specialized equipment, advancing knowledge in perioperative pharmacology, and pursuing credentialing in subspecialties that align with your career goals. We support your path with structured orientation, access to continuing education, and hands-on mentorship from seasoned OR teams.

Compelling benefits accompany the clinical responsibilities. You’ll earn competitive weekly pay in the range of $1,747 to $1,840, with a guaranteed 32 hours per week to provide financial stability. The package typically includes a bonus opportunity and housing assistance to ease relocation and living arrangements, so you can focus on delivering exceptional patient care. We offer contract extension opportunities, which can translate into longer-term placements and deeper integration with your teams. Our comprehensive support network is designed for traveling professionals—24/7 assistance from our dedicated program coordinators, on-call clinical support, and rapid access to resources whenever you need them. You’ll have access to a broad array of benefits and services designed to remove barriers to your performance and to help you feel settled and supported as you navigate a new community.

Company values center on empowerment, respect, and advancement. We’re committed to fostering a work environment where every nurse is encouraged to grow—building clinical acumen, expanding leadership capabilities, and shaping a culture of collaboration and recognition. You’ll be paired with mentors and given opportunities to lead by example, contribute to quality improvement initiatives, and participate in professional development programs that reflect your ambitions. Our approach honors work–life balance, supports wellness, and champions a sense of belonging across a diverse and caring workforce. If you’re seeking an organization that treats your expertise as a catalyst for patient impact and career trajectory, you’ll find it here.

Ready to take the next step? Apply now to join a company that values your expertise, supports your growth, and invites you to contribute to life-changing care in Hawaii while exploring broader experiences across the United States. This is your chance to advance as a perioperative expert, to mentor peers, and to build lasting professional relationships in a setting that inspires both excellence and joy. Start date 03/09/2026, duration several weeks, with guaranteed hours and a comprehensive support system designed to help you thrive. Our team is excited to welcome you aboard and to help you chart your path forward in perioperative nursing.

Note: The hours and pay rates listed are estimates and may vary. Final compensation packages and guaranteed hours will be confirmed during the hiring process.
