Job Description - Travel Registered Nurse PACU Job

Embark on a pivotal PACU nursing journey in paradise—Kealakekua, Hawaii—where your expertise guides patients through the crucial recovery window with skill, compassion, and confidence. On 03/02/2026, you’re invited to begin a flexible assignment spanning multiple weeks, with the potential for extension, allowing you to make a lasting impact while savoring the distinctive beauty and culture of Hawaii. This role is designed for Registered Nurses who thrive in high-stakes recovery, value teamwork, and are eager to grow within the post-anesthesia care specialty. Imagine the satisfaction of stewarding patients from immediate post-operative care to safe, confident discharge, all while enjoying the island rhythm and breathtaking landscapes that define this corner of the Aloha State.

Location Benefits: Kealakekua sits on the sun-drenched Kona coast, where volcanic scenery, lush rainforests, and pristine beaches meet a warm, welcoming community. Working here means immersive access to outdoor adventures, culture-rich experiences, and a slower, thoughtful tempo that supports focused, patient-centered care. You’ll have the opportunity to contribute your PACU expertise in a setting that values safety, efficiency, and compassionate communication, while also keeping a door open to assignments across the United States. For traveling clinicians, the program offers the appeal of Hawaii’s unique environment alongside the potential to explore additional U.S. locations, broadening clinical exposure and professional networks. Our travel teams provide practical support to help you settle in quickly, including guidance on housing options, local resources, and orientation to facility workflows so you can focus on patient care from day one.

Role Specifics and Benefits:
- Responsibilities and clinical scope: As a PACU Registered Nurse, you will monitor postoperative patients through the recovery phase, continuously assessing airway status, breathing, circulation, pain, and consciousness. You will manage catheter and IV lines, adjust medications per orders, and respond rapidly to clinical changes, applying evidence-based protocols to stabilize patients. You’ll conduct initial and ongoing assessments, document accurately in the electronic health record, and communicate critical information to anesthesia teams, surgeons, and floor staff. Your role includes preparing patients for discharge from PACU, coordinating with inpatient units or home care as appropriate, providing patient and family education, and ensuring safe handoffs to the next care team.
- Growth and professional development: The assignment is designed to support professional advancement within PACU practice. You’ll have opportunities to deepen expertise in airway management, analgesia strategies, and recovery risk assessment, with access to continuing education, mentorship, and involvement in quality-improvement initiatives that elevate patient outcomes and workflow efficiency.
- Competitive benefits and extension potential: You’ll receive a competitive weekly pay range of $2,318–$2,514, aligned with your experience and performance. The program includes a recruitment incentive and housing assistance to ease relocation, plus extension opportunities that enable you to extend your impact beyond the initial weeks as your проектов schedule allows.
- Comprehensive support and travel care: A dedicated support team is available 24/7 for traveling clinicians, ensuring seamless navigation of clinical, logistical, and personal needs. This includes real-time assistance with housing logistics, facility onboarding, shift coordination, and access to clinical resources, so you can focus on delivering safe, high-quality recovery care wherever your assignment takes you.

Company Values: Our organization is rooted in empowering staff through career advancement, mentorship, and a supportive, collaborative work environment. We prioritize patient-centered care and staff well-being, recognizing that sustainable excellence in the PACU requires nurses who feel valued, equipped, and connected to a larger mission of improving perioperative outcomes. By fostering open communication, ongoing education, and a culture of respect, we aim to help you grow professionally while enjoying a fulfilling, meaningful work experience.

Call to Action: If you’re ready to bring calm, expert post-anesthesia care to patients in Hawaii and to broaden your horizons across U.S. locations, apply now. This is your chance to join a company that honors your skill, supports your development, and stands by you every step of the way—from your first shift in Kealakekua to your ongoing career in PACU nursing. Start date is 03/02/2026, with a flexible weeks-long assignment and potential extensions. Embrace island life, impactful care, and a path toward deeper PACU mastery—your next chapter starts here.

Note: The hours and pay rates listed are estimates and may vary. Final compensation packages and guaranteed hours will be confirmed during the hiring process.
