Job Description - Travel Registered Nurse PICC Job

Step into a pivotal role as a Registered Nurse – PICC Specialist in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, beginning March 23, 2026. This is your opportunity to elevate patient care by delivering expert peripherally inserted central catheter management in fast-paced hospital settings, guiding patients through comfort, safety, and recovery. Imagine the impact of meticulous line care, timely dressing changes, and accurate assessments that prevent infection and empower healing. And as you advance, pause to soak in Pennsylvania’s beauty—historic streets of Philadelphia, the serene trails of Fairmount Park, the wooded splendor of the Pocono Mountains, and the picturesque charm of towns along the Susquehanna.

Location benefits: Work where medicine thrives in Philadelphia, a hub of renowned hospitals, diverse patient populations, and a collaborative clinical culture. Here you’ll enjoy access to top-tier facilities, ongoing professional development, and a community that values nursing excellence. The role also offers the opportunity to work across multiple locations nationwide, giving you exposure to varied patient populations, hospital systems, and PICC protocols—expanding your clinical repertoire and resilience as a caregiver. In addition to an urban epicenter, PA and nearby states provide cultural events, dining, and outdoor escapes you can explore on days off.

Role specifics and benefits:
- Core responsibilities include comprehensive PICC line assessment and maintenance, dressing changes using sterile technique, line patency verification, flushing per protocol, blood draws from PICC lines when appropriate, and documentation in electronic medical records with precision.
- Collaborate with physicians, wound/vascular teams, and infusion services to optimize catheter outcomes, reduce infection risk, and ensure timely IV therapies.
- Provide patient and family education on catheter care, home considerations, and recognizing complication signs to support safe transitions from hospital to home.
- Maintain compliance with infection prevention standards, anesthesia and procedural safety guidelines, and hospital policies; participate in quality improvement initiatives related to vascular access.
- Demonstrate professional growth within the PICC specialty—expand skills into ultrasound-guided line placement, advanced line care, and cross-department rotations to increase career mobility.
- Assignment flexibility: roles are offered in weeks with renewal opportunities to align with your schedule and career goals, ensuring continuity and predictable planning.
- Compensation and benefits: competitive weekly pay ranging from $1,914 to $1,980, guaranteed 40 hours per week, and a structured trajectory of contract extensions to maximize continuity of care and professional development.
- Financial and housing support: sign-on and performance bonuses where applicable, comprehensive housing assistance to ease relocation or temporary housing during assignments, and tools to help you stabilize wherever the assignment takes you.
- Comprehensive support: 24/7 assistance from our travel operations and clinical support teams, ensuring clinical guidance, logistics, and personal safety are always just a call away; you will never travel alone.

Company values:
We are built on empowering clinicians to grow, learn, and lead within their specialties. Our environment champions mentorship, ongoing education, clear career pathways, and a culture of respect, collaboration, and wellbeing. We invest in you with training resources, credentialing opportunities, and a network of peers who share a commitment to excellent patient care and professional advancement.
