Job Description - Travel Respiratory Therapist Registered Respiratory Therapist Job

Begin a vital journey as a Registered Respiratory Therapist in Craig, Colorado, where your expertise will directly impact patient outcomes, comfort, and recovery in some of the most meaningful moments of care. This opportunity places you at the forefront of high-quality respiratory support within a supportive, patient-centered team that values accuracy, compassion, and professional growth. As you apply your clinical skills to a diverse caseload—from acute to chronic respiratory needs—you’ll build confidence, refine critical thinking, and expand your scope across the continuum of care. The assignment begins March 6, 2026, with an initial engagement spanning several weeks and clear avenues for extension based on patient needs, performance, and your career ambitions. A rewarding weekly pay range of $1,829 to $1,982 aligns with your expertise, experience, and the value you bring to the bedside. Guaranteed hours of 36 per week ensure predictability as you plan your schedule and life outside of shifts.

Craig sits in the heart of Northwest Colorado, where mountain vistas frame every shift and outdoor adventure is never far away. The region offers a welcoming, small-town atmosphere with access to robust clinical resources and a close-knit medical community. Beyond the immediate hospital environment, you’ll enjoy the beauty of nearby Steamboat Springs, Routt National Forest, and the cream of Colorado’s outdoor playgrounds—hiking, skiing, biking, and scenic drives that rejuvenate after demanding days. Working in this location means not only delivering exceptional respiratory care but also embracing a lifestyle that nurtures balance and well-being. There’s also the flexibility to engage in assignments at other locations across the United States, broadening your professional horizons while maintaining the supportive structure of your travel program. You’ll have opportunities to experience urban, suburban, and rural settings, each presenting unique clinical cases, collaboration opportunities, and cultural experiences that enrich your practice and deepen your expertise.

In this role, you’ll deliver comprehensive respiratory care with a focus on patient assessment, ventilator management, and weaning protocols, while providing essential therapy planning for oxygen delivery, aerosolized medications, airway clearance, and monitoring for rapid changes in status. Your day-to-day responsibilities may include performing ABG analysis under protocol, titrating therapies to orders, assisting with noninvasive ventilation, intubation support where applicable, suctioning, chest physiotherapy, and patient and family education to promote understanding and adherence. You’ll collaborate with physicians, nurses, and therapists to optimize therapeutic plans, document thoroughly, and advocate for evidence-based practices that improve outcomes. The role offers a clear path for professional growth, including exposure to intensive care and high-acuity environments, opportunities to pursue certifications, cross-training across units, and mentorship from seasoned senior therapists. You’ll be encouraged to lead by example, share best practices, and contribute to quality improvement initiatives that shape the standard of care for respiratory patients.

This opportunity comes with a compelling suite of benefits designed to recognize your expertise and support your life on the road. Along with competitive compensation, you’ll receive a sign-on bonus, housing assistance to ease the transition to a new city, and extension opportunities to align with program needs and your personal goals. The arrangement includes consistent 24/7 support from a dedicated travel team, ensuring you have reliable access to resources, clinical guidance, and administrative help around the clock. You’ll work with a network that values your voice, offers professional development support, and invests in your long-term career trajectory. The company’s commitment to empowering its staff shines through their emphasis on upskilling, mentorship, and a culture where diverse experiences are valued and contributions are recognized.

Our corporate values center on empowerment, collaboration, and a supportive work environment where your expertise drives patient outcomes and your professional journey progresses at a pace that suits you. You’ll be part of a culture that celebrates precision, compassion, and resilience, while providing the resources and community you need to thrive—whether you’re advancing clinical competencies, pursuing specialty certifications, or enriching your leadership capabilities within a healthcare system that prioritizes people.

If you’re ready to join a company that genuinely values your skill, fosters growth, and supports you every step of the way, this is your chance to make a meaningful impact while enjoying a rewarding travel experience in Colorado and beyond. Apply now to begin a forward-thinking chapter as a Respiratory Therapist in Craig, where every shift is an opportunity to elevate patient care and expand your professional horizon. The hours and pay noted are estimates and may vary; final compensation packages and guaranteed hours will be confirmed during the hiring process.
