Responsibilities
- Provide assessment and treatment for patients requiring respiratory therapy, including ventilator management, airway clearance techniques, oxygen therapy, and aerosolized medications.
- Monitor patient responses, adjust therapies per physician orders, and document care accurately in the medical record.
- Perform outpatient testing as applicable, including Stress Tests, Pulmonary Function Tests, and EEG testing.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, participate in rounds, and ensure timely communication of patient status.
- Educate patients and families on respiratory care plans, device use, and safety precautions.
- May care for neonates or high-risk deliveries when assigned; follow established protocols and escalate as needed.

Requirements
- Unrestricted Colorado license to practice as RT, or ability to obtain prior to start date.
- Basic Life Support (BLS); Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS); Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS); Neonatal Resuscitation Program Advanced Provider (NRP); BLS may be obtained upon hire.
- At least 2 years of well-rounded RT experience with a diverse patient population.
- Experience with outpatient testing in Stress Tests, Pulmonary Function Tests, and EEG testing.
- NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential preferred; EPIC experience preferred; Spanish language ability preferred.
- Ability to work in a hospital setting with rotating shifts.
