Pay Rate: Range $2160 to $2520 weekly Gross Pay based on a 36-hour work week (Includes Non-taxable travel/housing and M&I stipend available for qualified/eligible travelers)
Unit: Med Surg, Tele, PCU, SDU
Shifts available: Nights
Shift timings:
12 Hours; Nights, 7p-7.30a
Schedule: 36 hours/week guaranteed, 3 shifts per week, every other weekend
Position Requirements:
- Registered Nurse: 2 years - Required
- Med Surg Tele PCU Step down Nursing experience: Recent/Current 2 years – Required
- Experience with Tele strips including cardiac - Required
- Epic experience – Preferred
- Prior Travel Nursing experience – Highly preferred
Education, License and Certification Requirements:
- ASN or an equivalent – Required
- BSN or an equivalent – Highly preferred
- RN License for State of IA or Compact - Required
- BLS and ACLS Certifications from AHA - Required
Job Description:
- Provide all aspects of Nursing care for patients in the assigned units (Unit is a mix of MS, Tele, PCU, and Step Down)
- Provides safe, quality care for patients/residents according to individualized care plan that supports patient/resident outcomes.
- Regularly assesses patient's/client's needs and provides skilled nursing services as prescribed by the physician authorized plan of care, and accepted standards of nursing practice.
- Provides direct resident care, including medication administration, treatments, call lights, assisting with transfers, responding to alarms, etc.
- Evaluates effectiveness of treatment plan and makes suggestions or participates in updating/revising the treatment plan in collaboration with other team members, utilizing current information to improve patient care.
- Processes physician/provider orders and performs physician ordered care accurately, completely and in a timely manner.
- Follows up regarding medication changes and order clarifications.
