Job Description - Travel Speech Language Pathologist Job

Step into a purpose-filled role as a Speech Language Pathologist in Waldorf, Maryland, and unleash the power of communication to elevate lives across diverse settings. In this travel-centered opportunity, your expertise will be the catalyst for meaningful progress—from early intervention milestones to complex adult communication challenges. Picture guiding families, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and shaping therapy plans that adapt to each person’s unique voice and goals. As you step into this role, you’ll see the tangible impact of your practice day after day, creating brighter futures one conversation at a time. Maryland’s rich blend of coastal scenery, historic towns, and dynamic urban access provides a backdrop that invites both professional fulfillment and personal exploration. From breezy mornings by the water to evenings exploring Washington, D.C. culture and cuisine, this assignment blends purpose with the region’s natural beauty and vibrant community life.

Maryland’s Waldorf area offers a balanced blend of suburban charm and convenient access to the nation’s capital region. Working here means you’ll benefit from a supportive local network of schools, clinics, and hospitals, with opportunities to collaborate across disciplines. You’ll also enjoy the chance to experience different locations across the United States through future assignments, expanding your professional horizons while staying grounded in the strong family-centered and evidence-based practices that define the field of speech-language pathology. The area’s proximity to beaches, state parks, and waterfront communities adds a recreational dimension to your professional life, offering weekends filled with outdoor exploration, water-based activities, and easy day trips to explore Annapolis, the Chesapeake Bay, and Baltimore’s varied cultural offerings. The region’s welcoming communities and diverse populations will enrich your clinical experience as you build rapport with patients and caregivers from many backgrounds.

In this role, you’ll assume a comprehensive slate of responsibilities designed to sharpen your clinical acumen and broaden your scope within the specialty. You will conduct thorough assessments, establish accurate diagnoses, and design individualized, evidence-based therapy plans addressing articulation, language development, fluency, voice, pragmatics, and feeding/swallowing as appropriate. You’ll monitor progress through clear data collection and regular re-evaluation, adjusting interventions to maximize outcomes. Collaboration will be at the heart of your daily practice: partnering with teachers, physicians, and families to coordinate goals and support systems across school and clinical environments. Documentation and compliance will be essential, with meticulous record-keeping to meet regulatory standards and program requirements. You’ll participate in ongoing professional development, leveraging mentorship, case conferences, and multi-disciplinary rounds to refine techniques and expand your repertoire. The position includes opportunities to take on lead roles in program development, contribute to program evaluations, and extend your practice into telepractice or community outreach as appropriate. We value your growth, and you’ll have access to network-wide training, resources, and leadership pathways that empower you to expand your impact within the specialty.

This travel opportunity comes with competitive benefits designed to reward your expertise and support your lifestyle on the move. You’ll receive weekly pay in the range of $2,041 to $2,137, with guaranteed hours of 35 per week, providing financial stability and predictable planning. To ease transitions, housing assistance is available, easing relocation concerns and helping you settle into a comfortable, convenient home-away-from-home. There are extension opportunities to continue your impactful work beyond the initial term, allowing you to deepen relationships with students, families, and care teams while expanding your professional footprint. A sign-on or completion bonus may also be available, reflecting the value you bring to the program. In addition, you’ll benefit from comprehensive support throughout your travel, including 24/7 assistance from our dedicated team who will be there to help you navigate any situation, coordinate resources, and ensure your focus remains on delivering exceptional care.

Our company is built on a foundation of empowerment, growth, and a collaborative, supportive work culture. We are committed to honoring and elevating your voice as a clinician, offering clear pathways for career advancement and leadership opportunities. You’ll be part of a community that prioritizes mentorship, constructive feedback, and a respectful, inclusive environment where your professional development is a shared priority. The mission is simple: equip you with the tools, resources, and encouragement you need to thrive, while you make a tangible difference in the lives of the people and communities you serve. The strongest teams are those that invest in their staff, and we are dedicated to fostering your confidence, resilience, and success as you navigate diverse assignments and grow as a clinician.

If you’re driven by clinical excellence, energized by new environments, and motivated to empower others through communication, this is your moment. Apply today to join a company that values your contribution and is committed to advancing your career in speech-language pathology. Your next meaningful chapter in Waldorf—and across the U.S.—awaits.

Start Date: 02/16/2026. Duration: Weeks. This is a travel assignment with the potential for extension, designed for a dedicated Speech Language Pathologist ready to make an impact in Maryland and beyond.

Note: The hours and pay rates listed are estimates and may vary. Final compensation packages and guaranteed hours will be confirmed during the hiring process.
