Responsibilities
- Assess residents’ speech, language, cognitive-communication, voice, and swallowing needs; develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
- Provide direct therapy sessions, monitor progress, and adjust plans to maximize outcomes.
- Document care and progress in the patient record; communicate findings and recommendations to the interdisciplinary team.
- Educate residents, families, and caregivers about treatment plans, equipment use, and strategies to support communication and safe swallowing.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other therapists to coordinate care and participate in care planning meetings.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and facility policies, maintain patient confidentiality, and participate in quality improvement activities as applicable.

Requirements
- Active Speech-Language Pathologist license (licensing and credentialing verification will occur during onboarding)
- Ability to work in a long-term care setting and participate in a day shift schedule
- Willingness to participate in a 13-week travel assignment with 36 guaranteed hours per week
- Prior experience in LTC/geriatric settings or similar environments is preferred
- Effective communication skills and ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team
