Responsibilities
- Conduct dysphagia evaluations and management, including bedside swallow assessments and interpretation of imaging studies (Modified Barium Swallow)
- Provide speech-language pathology intervention for adults and geriatrics, including voice, dysarthria, aphasia/CVA, and TBI care
- Manage care for patients with tracheostomies/ventilators, suctioning, and related airway considerations
- Develop, implement, and reassess individualized plans of care; document progress and outcomes in the electronic charting system
- Educate patients and families on communication and swallowing strategies; participate in discharge planning and multidisciplinary rounds
- Collaborate with an interprofessional team within the ICU/IMC to support patient goals and safe transitions of care

Requirements
- Active New Jersey license in hand at time of submission
- CCC-SLP certification
- BLS certification
- Modified Barium Swallow competency
- Minimum 2 years of acute care speech-language pathology experience
- Travel experience preferred; travel candidates only (locals within 50 miles not accepted)
- Ability to work in an ICU/IMC setting and adapt to a fast-paced, adult-geriatric population
